After researching the oldest neighborhood in Detroit, I found that the architecture was unique and quite beautiful. In the early days, the homes were Federal-styled and rowhouses. In later years, modestly sized Victorian townhouses with Italianate, Gothic, and Queen Anne elements were constructed. This project became a series of posters focusing on five homes in Corktown. Each poster is a home on Leverette Street and provides information about each home. The posters are housed in a handmade case with the title “Corktown” letterpressed.
